We also went to my mom's old dorm, which was funny to see. The dorm doesn't have any dryers, so they all have to line-dry their clothes! I thought all of their clothes outside looked beautiful under the turquoise-colored roof.
Most of the stores around the area have changed, but a couple places still remained. My mom and I ate at a beef noodle shop she used to go to that was particularly delicious. The name of the store can be translated to Mr. Big Voice because when my mom used to go there the owner of the store would stand outside and yell really loud for people to come eat. I got the beef noodle soup pictured first and my mom got wonton noodle soup pictured second. The beef noodle soup looks really gross because my flash was on. It didn't really look all oily and bumpy like that!
The prices were really expensive for Taiwan and there were signs posted that said please wait patiently. The store must be really popular.
the laundry room is nice. in singapore, people hang their laundry on a long pole out their windows. i always wonder what happens when their clothes fall down because the buildings are so tall. i'm sure that the wind would carry the clothes really far.
